R.I.P- “The Lost Dream”

“Two years back on 15th February 2009, I officially graduated from school. Two years later on 15th February 2011 , I joined the corporate world. Two years back these hands held a pen to solve questions in school notebook. Two years later these hands type a client document on a laptop.

The story seems some fantasy of a teenager transiting from “classrooom” to “boardroom”.But when I pinch myself hard I realize its the story of my own life. A lot of times I wonder  what went into the making of this dream which today has turned into a reality. May be hardwork, may be confidence or  may be perseverance and all such flowery words which describe “a hard earned dream”. But all these words seem so frail and inapt when it comes to the making of “my dream”. Of course these ingredients were there to fulfill that wish but there was something I lost during its making.I never desired of working in a corporate world because what I only desired was to become a “writer”. But that wish of becoming a “writer” slowly and steadily turned into shambles just to make way for the “corporate dream”. Today I can never  think again of becoming a “writer” or may be I was too naive when I “thought of it” . But what constitutes “me” all this way is that lost dream which gave me strength to move on and to “dream” again .

  1. While expressing your disheartening experience of losing your way to one dream in order to fulfill the other… you just moved a step ahead towards your so called ‘lost dream’. you just wrote your heart out, and that’s what a writer does. You are a writer already…and you are amazing.. trust me !! :)
After all why are people like chetan bhagat born..to show us that its never too late.. and you can have more than one dream :P

  4. Voila! You’re a writer already!

You needn’t write a book to be a “writer”; all you need are readers — and they’re people who read and like it enough to comment, like i did now ;)

Congrats! You’re living your dream now :)

  5. Wow! So you are now into the corporate world and a writer! Kudos Arpit!!!!
