It’s happiness all the way

What if one day you turn into a clown? A clown who has so much to say, so much to tell about life. But with his one gleeful smile life seems to be a cakewalk. But ask him whether life has been so easy for him? Pat comes the reply,”No”. You will wonder then why he smiles and always cheer up people. Let me tell you the answer. Happiness is the state of your mind. When you are happy, you love to see beautiful things around you. Your positive aura motivates others and makes them also feel happy.

But I always wonder then why do people forget to smile in difficult times? Maybe because it’s human temperament or maybe it’s because we are never satisfied with what we have and always nag for things which others have. Honestly speaking , I really idolise a few people I know who have gone through the twists and turns of life but they still extracted a smiley moment from such experience and emerged victorious.

I believe that happiness is a lost art. It is a skill which each one of us possesses but the only difference is that we all have got so much involved in this rat race that we have unlearnt this art.

So go ahead and spread a smile each time you feel like and soon when each smile turns into a laugh see how life reveals the beautiful part of it. And always remember that each day you turn that smile into a gloomy straight line you only pave the way for the monster to reside by your side. So what are you waiting for…go and earn some browny points and let’s see who wins in this fast track race of being happy.

P.S. Winners get the key to a happy joyful life. 😀

  1. I am telling you……….You should start writing self help books………………….Maybe I could later write their parodies 😉

arpit: well i do not really intend to write self help books ….. but with you giving me the option to convert them into parodies ….. i can give a thought to it 😀

  2. i’m not a cheery person by nature, though i am easily influenced by my surroundings. i guess for people like me, we forget to smile in bad times because we don’t see a reason to then? i also think negative emotions can be good in a way when you express them because you’re letting it all out – just as long as it’s not excessive or overdrawn (you have to get over it after some time!).

while i do admire people who can smile in times of trouble, i don’t think everybody can be that way naturally (perhaps with practice). i guess what i’m trying to say that we’re all different people, with different ways to express ourselves. 🙂 but yes, it would be nicer if people smiled more!

arpit: Well I think to an extent you have been able to interpret what I wanted to convey. I do agree with you that each one of us have a different way of expressing our emotions but if tried everyone can learn to be happy even in the worst of times …perhaps practice makes a man perfect so keep on trying unless you learn the art of being happy. 😀

  3. Yeah! Thats what everyone needs to read. Instead of those pathetic self help, motivational, monks selling ferraris crap.

All you need is a smile. It really is that simple. Now that you have shown us the way, make sure to follow it too for the rest of your life. There will be days when you will feel it’s getting hard. On such days, do remember to revisit your post and give it a good read.

    Keep smiling. Always.

PS: Aside to this, I think a clown smiles a lot coz he gets paid for it. 🙂
    Just kidding. Great post.

arpit: Well honestly speaking those self help books are not that bad either but when you can be your own guide to happiness then why need something else .Surely I would follow your advice and please drop in any day if you feel its getting too hard and go through the post again and I am sure it would leave a smile on your face 🙂

  4. that’s quite a positive outlook towards life. If we all see life with such eyes, it cud be a lot more easier to survive the ups and downs.

arpit: Well life is a hell lot easier then one can think .Its actually the people who make it difficult . But if viewed with a positive outlook you will see how everything falls at its place and then life actually turns out to be a cakewalk. 🙂

  5. very well written…
i think in this highly competitive world..disappointments have become a part of everyone’s life..
and we have become so used to this gloomy element…that we keep looking for petty reasons to be unhappy and dissatisfied…
    happiness has really lost somewhere..

arpit Well thanks for dropping your comments. I think that happiness has not really lost somewhere, its always there with us but the only difference is that we just need to keep it alive with us otherwise as I said it doesn’t takes even a minute for the devil to creep in your life . So keep a track of it and then you will see how this gloominess leaves you and paves way for happiness! 🙂
